Keywords are words or phrases that people look for in search engines to find things they are looking for. For example if they are looking for amateur photography classes, they might type in the phrases "photography seminar", "photography workshop", "photography classes" or similar phrases to find what they are looking for. However, research may show that on the subject of photography classes, much more people are using the phrase "photography seminar" than the phrases "photography workshop" or "photography classes" to find the same thing in the search engines. If you have a website offering photgraphy classes, it will therefore be smarter to talk about "photography semminars" rather than "classes", so you will be found by more people. It's not what you are offering, just the way you describe it.
